I have now installed Livefyre on mattiasgronborg.com after some research during the weekend. I heard positive rumors about Livfyre during this spring and I used it on Jay Baer’s convince&convert blog shortly thereafter. Livefyre commenting system really takes the social environment on your blog to the next level. Livefyre has a lot of great features to create an even better engaged community and I want to share my first experiences with you in this post.
Very smooth setup with full control
I changed from Disqus and the setup was very easy. It looks like Livfyre imported everything correct. All of the comments is imported and the new comments is syncing back to my database.
Social features I like with Livefyre
Social sharing: Maybe you have read through a thread of comments and realized you liked a specific comment and thought about the need to share the comment with your social graph. This function is lacking in many other commenting system and from a social context perspective it’s important when you are building your online community. With Livefyre this is possible and any posted comment can be posted to social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Friend tagging options for users: Users can tag people in their Facebook and Twitter network in the comments using the @ symbol. This is a great door opener for your community and the user can invite his or her social graph (friends) to join the conversation on your blog.

Easy to join the conversation: Social log in allows user to easy and fast join the conversation with validated profiles via their Google, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn accounts. Also Gravatar supported. This is very good and also contribute to more transparency and a better humanized community (blog post about how to humanize your company and brand in social media).

Ability to only receive one email for all the comments: A Smart aggregation function to avoid your inbox to get flooded with notification emails every time someone leaves a comment.

Please leave a comment and test the functions; what did you think?
