We continue our blog series: How to develop a business blog strategy that supports your bottom line. Click here to check out step two. It is very important to create and prioritize calls to action when you are blogging for business. I’m doing my best to implementing steps like: Sign up for email subscription, please leave a comment and share my posts, and remember start the process and learn along the journey.

Drive traffic to E-Commerce

A purpose with your blog could be driving traffic to another page. Example; if your company have an e-commerce store to  send traffic to.

Download stuff

If you are blogging for leads and sales you can have call to actions who invites people to download white paperse-books, reports or sign up for webinars: Hubspot is a very good example here and they rake in tons of new business leads this way.

Sign up for RSS or Email

The usage of RSS Real Simple Subscription (or syndication) is not close to Email. Email is definitely still in the game and probably one of the most intimate relationships you can have with your audience. If you want to subscribe and get free blog post from mattiasgronborg.com click here.

If you are blogging for leads or support you can invite people to call or chat with you online. It’s a big difference between blogging for loyalty or leads though, I’m not a fan of selling blogs. Take it easy here!

Please share or leave a comment

It is proven that bloggers who asking people to share their articles receive more retweets than those who don’t ask for it. It can maybe look like this: ”Please share or tweet my post”. Some bloggers say that you should never ask for this, I think there are times when it is appropriate to do so, because I think you earn your right to ask people to take action on your stuff. Asking people to leave comments is also a common call to action and very important when you are blogging for community.

It’s your turn

What is the behavior you want to create for your readers after they’re reading your blog?
