In this post I summarizes my eight step blog series how to blog. This will give you a great insight what to consider when you develop a blogging strategy for your personal brand or company blog. These articles are mainly inspired by Jay Baer and the Blogging Success Summit 2011. I attended this summit during this spring (2011) and I learned a lot. 3. Five calls to action after reading the blog
I learned from one of the Jedis in social media Jay Baer that it is very important to create and prioritize calls to action in your blog posts. 4. Create existence 4 your blog
It’s impossible to talk about an existence for your blog without involve search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is far from everything, I seriously think that some people rely to much on it. You need to hustle and build your brand by hard work and if you think that only great SEO will take you to the skies I hope you wake up before you hurt yourself. 5. Who will create content for the blog
To solve the time challenge many companies think it’s a good idea to involve many people to write the blog, because if more people contribute it will not overload anyone. 6. What will we write about
First you need do figure out your point of view in advance, don’t just write in darkness. You need to tap into and understand what your audience want to engage in. A good thing is to ask them to leave comments, opinions, feedback and questions about your posts. When you do this you will get help to create content and build a relevance around your blog. 7. Reload your shotgun and redistribute your content
In many cases I see people create blog posts who could easily become three posts or more. Be smart and see your blog posts as the start of your content marketing and extend your blog post into different form of content. 8. Comprehend the ROI of your blog
The question on peoples mind is always; what is the ROI of blogging and how will we measure it? How do we know if the invested time is worth it?
