Can you detect when you are diverting from your primary aim?
When I checked my to do list this morning I felt overwhelmed. I divided it into an A list and B list and I was on the move towards some productive work. After an hour I caught myself checking some Facebook messages and I couldn’t deny the fact that I was cheating on myself and realized this was NOT on the A list this morning. What happened?
Denying your own success
It can be condensed into three simple words; lose of focus. How does this apply to my work? If I get sidetracked on something when I work, I divide my energy and I become less more likely to achieve my goals. Focus is so very important to live a productive life without stress. Work every day with short term goals, but visualize the big picture. Maybe you think you really need to handle those important emails, phone calls etc. Yes! maybe you need but don’t call it A-list work, because then you are denying your own success.
It’s humanly to get distracted; but you can still take back your focus and achieve your primary aim.
How do you organize your work to get it done?
